VirtualCrushAI is an independent review and matchmaking guide for AI companion apps. We hand-test AI girlfriend and AI boyfriend platforms — the conversations, the memory, the voice features, the privacy policies, and the pricing math — and publish what we find, including the parts the apps would rather we skip.

How we test

Every platform we review gets a real account and sustained, multi-day use. We run the same core scenarios on each app: everyday conversation, memory checks across sessions, voice and image features where available, free-tier limits (counted, not copied from marketing pages), and a read of the privacy policy. Ratings reflect four things: conversation quality, realism, memory, and value for money.

Our position on AI companionship

We think AI companions can be genuinely good company — a judgment-free space to talk, flirt, practice, or just not feel alone at 2am. We also think they are a complement to human connection, not a replacement for it, and we say so throughout the site. Everything we cover is for adults 18 and over.
